Holly and Kenneth met in late 2018 during pre-season robotics meetings. They had to exchange phone numbers so that their parents could collaborate on lunches and began texting occasionally. While they initially were not the biggest fans of each other, they were soon forced to work together on different projects throughout the season. This led to a MAJOR crush from one and some MAJOR annoyance from the other. We’ll let you guess who was who.

They continued texting more and more as their friendship grew. Narrowly avoiding having to give Holly a Valentine’s Day present, Kenneth asked her out on February 16th, 2019. They kept their relationship a secret for about a month (don’t let them fool you: everybody knew!) to avoid any awkwardness at robotics, but they eventually broke the news to everyone’s total shock (pfttt... not).

When Kenneth graduated and went off to Clemson, he drove home every single weekend so they could spend time together. After a few years of the “long distance” back and forth, Holly finally joined him at Clemson. Three years and two apartments later, Kenneth popped the question at a local Christmas light festival and surprised Holly by having both of their families waiting to celebrate with them (and lots of champagne).

And the rest is history… or it will be when, after more than eight years together, they make it official on April 17th, 2027!
